The NCV78702 is a single-chip, high-efficiency booster for smart power ballasts and LED drivers for automotive front lighting applications such as high beams, low beams, daytime running lights (DRLs), turn signals, fog lamps, static cornering lamps, etc. The NCV78702 is specifically designed for high-current LEDs, and is compatible with the NCV78723 (dual-channel buck)/713 (single-channel) to provide the ability to drive multiple LED strings of up to 60 V. The NCV78702 is a single-chip, high efficiency booster for automotive front lighting applications. The NCV78702 is specifically designed for high-current LEDs, and together with the NCV78723 (dual-channel buck)/713 (single-channel), provides a complete solution for driving multiple LED strings up to 60 V. It includes a current mode boost controller. It includes a current-mode boost controller that can also be used as an input filter with minimal external components. The available output voltages can be customized. Two NCV78702 devices can be combined and can operate with a boost circuit that functions as a multiphase booster (2-phase, 3-phase, 4-phase), further optimizing the filtering effect of the boost circuit and reducing the application's total cost of materials and increasing power. Due to the SPI programmable capability, one hardware configuration can support multiple application platforms.
