The MC74VHC1G02 is an advanced high-speed CMOS 2-input NOR gate fabricated on a silicon gate CMOS process. The internal circuitry consists of multiple stages including a buffered output that provides high noise immunity and stable output. The MC74VHC1G02 input structure provides protection at applied voltages up to 5.5 V regardless of the supply voltage. So MC74VHC1G02 is used to interface 5 V circuit to 3 V circuit.
