The VHC125 contains four independent non-inverting buffers with 3-state outputs. The device is an advanced high-speed CMOS device fabricated using silicon-gate CMOS technology that achieves high-speed operation similar to an equivalent bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining low power consumption in CMOS. Input protection circuitry ensures that 0V to 7V can be applied to the input pins regardless of supply voltage. This device can be used to interface 5V to 3V systems and two power systems such as backup batteries. This circuit prevents damage to the device due to mismatch between power supply and input voltage.
