The VHC132 is an advanced high-speed CMOS 2-input NAND Schmitt Trigger gate fabricated in a silicon-gate CMOS process. It achieves high-speed operation similar to bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining low power consumption in CMOS. Same pin configuration and function as VHC00 except that the input has hysteresis between positive and negative going input thresholds Capable of converting slowly changing input signals into clearly defined jitter-free output signals. This provides better interference margin than conventional inverters. An input protection circuit ensures that 0V to 7V is applied to the input pins regardless of the supply voltage. This device can be used to interface a 5V system with a 3V system and both power systems such as battery backup. This circuit prevents damage to the device due to mismatched supply and input voltages.
