The VHC245 is an advanced high-speed CMOS octal bus transceiver fabricated on a silicon-gate CMOS process. It achieves high-speed operation similar to an equivalent bipolar Schottky TTL while maintaining the low power consumption of CMOS. VHC245 is suitable for bidirectional asynchronous communication between data buses. The direction of data transfer is determined by the T/R# input level. The enable input can be used to disable the device, effectively isolating the bus. All inputs are equipped with protection circuits to prevent electrostatic discharge.
