FAN7527B provides simple and high-performance active power factor correction (PFC) function. The FAN7527B is optimized for applications requiring minimal board space, reduced external components, and low power consumption, such as electronic ballasts and low-power, high-density power supplies. Since the R/C filter is included in the current sense module, no external R/C filter is required. Special circuitry prevents runaway under no-load conditions. An output drive clamp circuit limits power MOSFET gate drive overvoltage regardless of supply voltage, thereby increasing system reliability.
