The LE25U40CMC is a SPI bus flash memory device with a 4MB (512K x 8-bit) configuration adding a high performance dual output and dual I/O capability. It uses a single 2.5v supply. The LE25U40CMC comes in an 8-pin ultra-miniature package, although most of the functions are available inside the serial flash device. All these features make the device suitable for storing programs in applications such as portable information devices, where size requirements are becoming increasingly compact. The LE25U40CMC has small-sector erase capability, making the device suitable for storing parameters or information that have fewer rewrite cycles and cannot be handled by conventional EEPROM due to insufficient capacity.
