The NCL30161 is a hysteresis step-down, constant-current driver for high-power LEDs that uses few external components and is suitable for industrial and general lighting applications.The NCL30161 operates over a 6.3 V to 40 V input voltage range. Hysteresis control provides excellent power rejection and fast response during load transients, and also provides PWM dimming of arrays of multiple numbers and types of LEDs. A dedicated PWM input (DIM/EN) enables wide-range pulse dimming and high switching frequency, using fewer external parts, minimizing cost and reducing space. Protection features include resistor-programmed constant LED current, shorted LED protection, undervoltage, and high-temperature shutdown.The NCL30161 utilizes a DFN10 3 mm x 3 mm encapsulation.
