The NB7VQ572M is a high performance differential 4:1 clock/data input multiplexer and 1:2 CML clock/data fanout buffer operating up to 7 GHz / 10 Gbps. Each INx / INx input pair contains a fixed equalizer receiver that, when placed in series in the data path, will boost degraded signals traveling through FR4 backplane or cable interconnects. For applications that do not require equalization, consider using the NB7V572M, which is pin-to-pin compatible with the NB7VQ572M. The differential clock/data inputs have internal 50 Ω termination resistors and accept differential LVPECL, CML, or LVDS logic levels. The NB7VQ572M includes a pair of select pins that will select one of four differential inputs and will produce two identical copies of the clock or data CML output. Therefore, the NB7VQ572M is suitable for SONET, GigE, Fiber Channel, backplane and other clock/data distribution applications. When externally loaded and terminated with a 50 Ω resistor to VCC, the two differential CML outputs swing 400mV and are optimized for low skew and minimal jitter. The NB7VQ572M belongs to the GigaComm family of high-performance clock products.
